Russell Crowe Has Been 'So Much Calmer' Since He Started Dating 30-Year-Old Britney Theriot, Source Spills

“He’s so much calmer, the difference is like night and day,” an OK! insider says of the star, 57, who started dating Theriot, 30, in 2019, shortly after calling it quits on his marriage to Australian actress Danielle Spencer, whom he wed in 2003.

Crowe and Spencer have two teenage children together — sons Charles, 17, and Tennyson, 15.

Crowe, who recently wrapped up shooting Thor: Love and Thunder — in which he’ll briefly appear as Zeus — has also lightened up when it comes to his career.

“He would never have done a cameo role in the past,” dishes the insider. “And instead of being his usual difficult self on set, he actually got on well with the crew and even signed autographs for fans.”

The Oscar-winning actor, who looked happy and relaxed during an appearance on June 23 to announce that he’s building a new film studio Down Under, “has put all that ‘angry man’ garbage behind him,” shares the insider.

“Britney has brought Russell back down to earth, and now he’s just a big teddy bear!”

Crowe was previously married for 15 years before his divorce from Spencer was finalized in 2018. Around the time of his divorce, Crowe — who was auctioning off many of his prized possessions prior to the divorce being finalized that April — explained, "Divorce has its way of making you really examine the things that are essential in life — and the things that are not."
