'Orange Is The New Black' Star Samira Wiley & Wife Lauren Morelli Secretly Welcome Baby Girl — See George Elizabeth
Congratulations are in order for Handmaid's Tale actress Samira Wiley and her wife, Lauren Morelli.
The 34-year-old Orange Is the New Black star announced on Instagram on Monday, May 11, that they had welcomed George Elizabeth on April 11.
"Happy 1st Mother’s Day to my beautiful wife, who four weeks ago today after laboring for almost 3 days gave birth to our first child — our gorgeous daughter, George.💜," she captioned a picture of the baby.
She added, "Welcome to the world, babygirl. We love you and we thank you for giving us the best 1st Mother’s Day two ladies could ask for."
"4 weeks ago today, our daughter came into the world and changed everything. We are so happy, so grateful, and so tired. George Elizabeth, 4.11.21 ❤️," Morelli captioned the same picture on her account.
The pair had not made a pregnancy announcement prior to the big reveal, so fans and friends naturally rushed to the comments to congratulate the new parents.

"😍🐣🐣🥰🐣🐣😍," Wiley's Orange Is The New Black costar Natasha Lyonne commented.
"I’m so happy for you guys 😍" Jackie Cruz gushed, while designer Christian Siriano wrote: "Congratulations Sooooo beautiful."
Wiley and the screenwriter tied the knot in 2017 after they met five years earlier on the OINTB set.
Morelli filed for divorce from her husband, Steve Basilone, in 2014; she came out as gay that same year. "Five months after my wedding, I flew to New York to start production on my first episode of Orange, and from that moment on my life fell into a parallel rhythm with Piper's story in a way that went from interesting to terrifying in a matter of months," she wrote in a Mic essay at the time.
"I went through it all on set: I fell in love with a woman, and I watched my life play out on screen," she explained. "And now, as we are gearing up for the release of season 2, it feels liberating and appropriate to live my life in front of you."
Then in 2018, Wiley told Entertainment Tonight that they were thinking about expanding their family. "We are so happy, so in love," she told the outlet.
