Give her a break!
After working like a demon on back-to-back movies, Sandra Bullock is putting her career on pause so she can focus on family, a source tells OK!.
Bullock, who plays an ex-con in her gritty new drama, The Unforgivable, and also has a rom-com, Lost City of D, due out next year, needed a change.
“So she’s quietly left Tinseltown for Texas,” shares the source, who says the doting mom has been happily kicking back with her children, Louis, 11, and Laila, 9, and longtime photographer beau Bryan Randall at her lakefront retreat in Austin.
“Sandy’s been filming nonstop for the past few years,” the source adds. “It was time for an adjustment.”
That includes getting away from life in the fishbowl. “No one bothers her there or makes a big deal that she’s a movie star,” notes the source. “Plus, Sandy is so down-to-earth that to the locals, she’s just people like everyone else.”

When the Bird Box star, 57, isn’t outdoors boating, hiking or picnicking with her family, the source adds, she loves cooking and puttering around the house, while Randall, 55, is out taking pictures of the countryside.
“Leaving the Hollywood scene has actually brought the romance back into their relationship,” dishes the source. “Before, Sandy was always on set, and Bryan was home taking care of the kids, so it was pretty tough.”
“Finally getting the change to really experience life in Austin has been a breath of fresh air for Sandra and her family,” says a source. “They’re getting to enjoy the simple things.”
The Miss Congeniality star began dating the former model in 2015, five years after splitting from ex-husband Jesse James. Bullock adopted Louis and Laila in 2010 and 2015, respectively, and Randall has a daughter named Skylar from a previous relationship. The lovebirds have stressed on multiple occasions they are in no hurry to tie the knot.
