Sherri Shepherd & Whitney Cummings Take Turns Filling In On 'The Wendy Williams Show' After Leah Remini Receives Mixed Reviews From Fans
The Wendy Williams Show is set to welcome two more guest hosts in the upcoming weeks as Wendy Williams continues to focus on her health: comedian Whitney Cummings and actress Sherri Shepherd.
The talk show announced via their official Instagram on Tuesday, October 19, that Cummings would be taking over hosting duties from Monday, October 25th until Friday, October 29th. Shepherd will grab the reins the following week from Monday, November 1 to Friday, November 5.
The 2 Broke Girls creator commented, "Nobody can ever replace Wendy but we will do what we can to fill in so she can come back stronger than ever. She's gone so hard for so long and as much as I miss seeing her every day, just imagine how hilarious she is gonna be after some time to take care of herself and have some quiet time to think!," adding a red heart emoji.
Cummings reached out to the audience for their opinions, writing, "feel free to send me topics you guys want covered! We all wanna make Wendy proud."
The new round of guest hosts comes as actress Leah Remini received mixed reviews from viewers as she started her four-day stint on the chat show Tuesday.

As OK! previously reported, the King of Queens star was met with varying opinions from viewers. Many fans loved the fresh take on the show as one fan commented under one of the show's Instagram videos from the Tuesday, October 19 episode, "Leah needs a show!❤️.”
But others were not having Remini's hosting skills over Williams', with one viewer commenting that they would prefer that there be no show at all: “How do you have the wendy show without wendy....wendy has already made her mark, got her star, had a movie....she needs to take care of herself and cancel the show.”
One other fan stated bluntly, “They are gonna get this woman’s show cancelled. This is terrible. Booooooooo.”
