Truly Concerned! Sherri Shepherd Responds To Wendy Williams' Claims She Won't Watch Her Upcoming Show
A gracious clap back.
Wendy Williams admitted she had no interest in tuning in to Sherri Shepherd's new show during a sit-down with Fat Joe, noting, "I know what she'll be doing and that's not really my thing."
Shepherd candidly responded to the dig in an Instagram Live Q&A on Saturday, May 7.
"I did hear Wendy say she will not watch me on the new show. And that's okay. You know, I understand. I'm not mad at Wendy," Shepherd replied to a curious fan wondering if she'd seen the interview. "She's going through a lot."
As OK! previously reported, the former radio DJ has been notably absent from The Wendy Williams Show since last July due to battling a series of serious medical issues. The 57-year-old allegedly struggled with her mental health, complications from Graves' Disease and testing positive for COVID-19, forcing her to take a long break from her beloved purple chair.

Several guest hosts — including Shepherd, Leah Remini and Michael Rapaport — took her place while she rested and healed, but in February, it was officially announced the show had been canceled and Shepherd would be taking over the timeslot with a brand new chat-fest.
"I would say that everyone should be praying for Wendy right now," Shepherd continued, before going on to voice her genuine concern for the ailing talk show host. "I'm really truly concerned for her because I don't feel like there's anybody over there protecting her ... But I'm not mad at Wendy because she won't watch my show."
The K.C. Undercover actress also spilled that there was a time when she was "very friendly" with Williams, but "sometimes stuff doesn't pan out as far as friendships." Still, she refused to label her as "bitter", referring to certain commenters' theories about why The Wendy Williams Show host wouldn't give the new show a chance.
"She's not well," she continued. "There's just a lot going on in Wendy's life ... All I can do over here and pray."
