Stephen Amell Breaks Silence On Removal From Plane After Fight With Wife Cassandra, Admits He Let His Emotions 'Get The Better' Of Him
Stephen Amell has broken his silence about being removed from a flight after getting into an altercation with wife Cassandra Jean Amell before take-off.
According to a report, Stephen was asked to calm down multiple times by a flight attendant as he screamed at Cassandra while appearing to be drunk.
In the Arrow star's statement, posted to Twitter on Wednesday, June 23, he admitted that he let his emotions "get the better" of him, "end of story."
"My wife and I got into an argument Monday afternoon on a Delta flight from Austin to LA. I was asked to lower my voice and I did," Stephen admitted. Ten minutes later, Stephen was asked to leave the flight, and according to him, he "did so immediately."
"I was not forcibly removed," the 40-year-old insisted, adding that he had no further issues when he boarded a later flight. "I rebooked myself on a Southwest flight 2 hours later and traveled home without any further issue." It seems Stephen wasn't a fan of making headlines for the couple's altercation, as he concluded: "Must be a slow news cycle.”

Despite Stephen's story of calmly leaving the aircraft, it was reported that an air marshal and three flight attendants escorted the handsome hunk off the Delta flight. According to Page Six, Cassandra and her companions remained on the flight and returned to L.A. without the model's husband.
A spokesperson for the airline also reportedly confirmed the altercation, noting in a statement that "an unruly customer was deplaned from the aircraft prior to departure in Austin." Regardless of the public disturbance, "The flight arrived ahead of schedule at Los Angeles International Airport."
This wasn't the first time Stephen made headlines for getting himself in hot water. Last fall, Stephen claimed he had "no idea" how he contracted the novel COVID-19 virus. However, sources told the outlet that the Heels star threw his wife a wild party that same month.
“He hosted a … birthday party in Palm Springs,” the insider dished at the time, emphasizing that it was not clear whether or not he contracted COVID from that specific event.
Stephen and Cassandra wed on Christmas Day in 2012 and share 7-year-old daughter Maverick Alexandra Jean Amell.
