'Summer House' Star Paige Desorbo Reveals She Was 'Relieved' That Costar & Pal Hannah Berner Exited The Show
Summer House star Paige DeSorbo revealed that although former costar Hannah Berner is her best friend — she was "relieved" when she left the show.
While making a joint appearance on the Call Her Daddy podcast, the fashion influencer explained that after the stand-up comedian announced back in May that she would be leaving the Bravo show, a weight was lifted off her shoulders.
“And that’s just honest, there was [relief] because I was like okay well now I’m not automatically in the middle of the two of them [co-star Amanda Batula and Hannah] and I can have my friendship with Hannah and I can have my friendship with these other people and they will never be mixed again…," DeSorbo told host Alex Cooper. "I would be lying if I didn’t say there was a relief because there was so much animosity when we were all in a room together.”
During season five of the reality show, the Loverboy founder and the social media star were at odds after Berner criticized Batula's relationship with fiancé Kyle Cooke.
“I mean look at the confessionals… I didn’t have a voice. It was just people criticizing me all season.." Berner — who is engaged to comedian Des Bishop — told Cooper about the conflict between the former friends. "They took my story away because my story was my truth…”

“I just hope that they don’t, that history doesn’t repeat itself," the 30-year-old explained about her experience in the house. "I don’t wish what happened to me on any of them.”
DeSorbo — who is dating Southern Charm star Craig Conover — said Berner's exit was a bit awkward for her but ultimately for the best. “I always felt like, because I continued to do it… Does she think I’m betraying her?" she dished.
"Does she think I’m talking sh*t about her? Or does she think I looked out for number one and kind of threw her under the bus..I never..oh my god I almost started crying.. I never said that to her like ‘hey I dont want you to feel like that..I never asked her I kind of just shut the f*** up," the Bravo personality detailed.
