'Toddlers & Tiaras' Alum Kailia Posey Dead At 16

Toddlers & Tiaras alum Kailia Posey has died at 16 years old, her mom confirmed via Facebook on Monday, May 2.

"I don't have words or any thoughts," Marcy Posey Gatterman wrote on social media alongside a photo of her late daughter. "A beautiful baby girl is gone. Please give us privacy as we mourn the loss of Kailia. My baby forever."

Just one week before her death, the young starlet celebrated her 16th birthday, simply captioning a slew of photos: "πŸŽ‚πŸ₯³πŸŽ‰πŸŽŠπŸŽˆ."

Posey's last post occurred on April 23, where she is seen posing on a staircase. "None of your concern :)," she wrote.

It's unclear what happened to Posey, but people took to the comments section to write sweet words about her.

One person wrote, "Can’t even believe this has happened. I’m praying for you guys to get through this. She always was so kind to all of us.Rest In Peace. ❀️," while another added, "Thank you for being someone to look up to Kailia. Rest in peace 🀍🀍."

A third person added, "Forever my pageant inspiration 🀍."

Posey made her debut on the TLC reality show alongside her mother. "When Kailia was younger, when she was 3, she started doing pageants," Marcy said in a clip from the show. "She's a pro when she hits that stage, she'll say she's nervous but once she hits that stage she's a pro. She's gonna beat you, every time."

Posey was also a practicing contortionist.

β€œGreat contortion class today. Learning new skills is a great filling thank you,” she captioned a video from December 2020.

β€œI had a great time this week. Thank you to everyone who cheered me on,” she wrote in 2021.

Additionally, the brunette beauty looked like she was still participating in pageants up until April 2021. β€œHad a blast at [Ultimate Dream Queen],” she posted a photo of herself wearing a crown. β€œLove all my friends and family who came to cheer me on!”
