Tori Spelling & Dean McDermott Public Split Reportedly 'Imminent' Due To Sex Addiction: 'Tori Really Just Needed To Get Away'
Tori Spelling and Dean McDermott's marriage is allegedly all but over.
A source exclusively spilled to Radar that the high profile couple's split was "imminent" and would come as soon as the Beverly Hills, 90210 star returned to the United States.
The actress — who recently shocked fans when she stepped out with an unrecognizable new look — is currently out of the country for work in Malta, but the insider claimed they were "officially done" as a couple after 15 years of marriage. "While the trip is for work, Tori really just needed to get away from Dean."
The insider went on to say that the famous pair have been done for "about three months now" despite them trying their best to salvage their marriage. "Dean’s sex addiction became too much for Tori. He absolutely did not cheat, but he just wants sex all the time."
Though the ultimate reason for the end of their relationship may not be cheating, the Slasher star has a sordid history of infidelity.
In 2014, McDermott, 54, admitted he had cheated on the Messyness host, 48, confessing it had everything to do with how he felt about himself, rather than anything his wife had done.
"It’s so not about the person you’re with. … For me, it wasn’t about T," he commented in an interview on Daddy Issues podcast. "It was about inadequacies in myself, I felt so bad about myself, I felt like a piece of s–t, I needed to do that to feel some kind of power."
Unfortunately for the 90210 star, this had always been her worst nightmare, and became a huge hurdle for them to overcome as a couple. "My biggest fear in our relationship was I was like, he's going to cheat on me," she told Women On Top podcast last year.
"So when it happened, I was like, 'See, I always thought from day one he was going to cheat on me,' and it wasn't about him, that was about me," she went on candidly. "I was like, 'Okay, I know I'm not good enough,' that's how I felt about myself and one day he's going to realize that and he's gonna find someone else."
McDermott later commented on feeling truly shameful over the brief affair while opening up on the subject on True Tori. "I feel shame. I’ve never felt shame before."
Though the reality star duo tried to rebuild their relationship, it seems they may be calling it quits for good. "This time she’s done," the insider dished. "Tori is a mom of five, has a business, and is working on new projects. She can’t just give Dean sex whenever he asks for it — and she needs more emotionally from him and he can’t do that. Some of the stuff I’ve seen has been sad."
The pair share 5 children together — Liam, Stella, Hattie, Finn and Beau. McDermott also shares son Jack with ex, Mary Jo Eustace.
