Tristan Thompson is taking all the hardships he's faced in stride.
From his tumultuous on-again, off-again relationship with ex Khloé Kardashian — which was plagued by the womanizer stepping out on the reality star on more than one occasion — to learning he fathered another child with his third baby mama, Thompson is grateful for it all, or so he claims.
On Thursday, March 31, the NBA pro shared an empowering message that seemed to hint at some of the bumps in the road he's faced in his past. "The best part of gratitude is that you do not even have to be grateful only for the blessings that you receive."

"but you may as well be grateful for the struggles that you have faced," his post to his Instagram Story read.
The athlete also touched on appreciating challenges in his life one day before his post, captioning a photo of himself laughing: "Nothing worth having comes easy… If it is I don't want it."

Online critics couldn't help but troll Thompson over his caption, with one user writing: "Being loyal doesn't come very easy for ya either," and another adding: "Definitely wouldn't recommend this caption for you."
"All your one night stands were easy," a third quipped, as a third chimed in: "@khloekardashian he just called you easy boo."
Despite the backlash, it's clear Thompson is taking the high road when it comes to any and all past drama he's been embroiled in, which has been a lot as of late.
As OK! reported, the father-of-three first came under fire in December 2021 when news that he welcomed a baby with Maralee Nichols was brought to light after the two hooked up with March while he was still with The Kardashians star.
After confirming in January that he is in fact the baby boy's father, he declared he was looking forward to raising the newborn, Theo, with Nichols, a statement he apparently didn't keep his word on.
Two months after the new mama gave birth to the pair's son, her rep revealed the 31-year-old has done nothing to support his third child, nor has he made any effort to "meet their son."
