As twists and turns continue to be revealed in the ongoing child support lawsuit between Maralee Nichols and Tristan Thompson, new text messages allegedly from the NBA pro claim he was once engaged to Khloé Kardashian.
A recent court filing submitted on Friday, March 4, included a series of Snapchat messages that were allegedly between the personal trainer, 31, and the basketball player, 30.
Nichols and her lawyer are attempting to use the messages to prove Thompson's consistent "unwillingness" to support their new baby Theo, who was born in December 2021, according to Us Weekly.

"You literally just told me you are engaged and are trying to be with your family.. I didn’t even know you were engaged," Nichols argued in one of the alleged snaps. "You have a record of treating me like absolutely crap and this whole situation has been upsetting."
Several days later, the athlete reportedly responded, confirming the startling news and doubling down on his decision not to be involved in his child's life, who he branded "a mistake."

"I'm engaged but I will be married soon," Thompson went on to say, before noting he would not be involved in the baby's life and reportedly insinuating she should have an abortion. "Why not wait till you [sic] find the right person to have a family with. Why would you want a baby with a man that’s engaged. You wanna keep a mistake."
As OK! previously reported, Thompson was rumored to still be dating the Keeping Up With the Kardashians alum when he hooked up with his third baby mama in March 2021.
The Chicago Bulls power forward apologized to the reality star — with whom he shares 3-year-old daughter True — in an Instagram Story shared on Monday, January 3.
"Khloé, you don't deserve this," he wrote. "You don't deserve the heartache and humiliation I have cause you. You don't deserve the way I have treated you over the years."
"My actions certainly have not lined up with the way I view you," the womanizer continued. "I have the utmost respect and love for you. Regardless of what you may think. Again, I am so incredibly sorry."
