Val Chmerkovskiy Announces He 'Probably' Won't Return To 'DWTS' Following Season 30 Elimination
Val Chmerkovskiy may have already performed his last dance.
One of the most beloved professionals on Dancing With the Stars recently revealed that his iconic run on the hit ABC show is likely coming to a close very soon.
Following his elimination during week 8 of the show, Chmerkovskiy, 35, has revealed that he “probably” won’t be coming back for another season.
“I’ve always been very clear about coming back on the show,” he told Entertainment Tonight. “I love the show. I love being on it. I am so grateful for the opportunity. Is this my last season? Probably.”
He then went on to say that he has “no regrets” about his ten-year tenure as a pro on the show. I have no regrets about the season. I couldn’t have asked for a better partner to end it with.”
Chmerkovskiy was partnered with Olivia Jade Giannulli, 22, for the show’s 30th season, before they were sent home in a double-elimination on Monday night.
“There’s no burned bridges, there’s nothing but gratitude, again, with the production, with the show,” the Ukraine native said. “I hope I’ve served the show and this show has definitely changed my life, so it’s [mutual] love and we’ll see what happens in the future."

Giannulli and Chmerkovskiy were one of the show’s hottest pairings, causing some to speculate they had chemistry off-stage as well, even though Chmerkovskiy is happily married to fellow DWTS pro Jenna Johnson.
The social media influencer eventually made a post to shut down the rumors, insisting that the pair are just friends and that she “adores” his wife.
While some critics of the show were outraged by ABC’s choice to cast Giannulli on the show considering her controversial past involving her mom Lori Loughlin’s college admission scandal, Chmerkovskiy couldn’t have enough good things to say about his celebrity partner.
“I’m very proud of her. I’m proud of us. I’m proud of this season,” he previously told Us Weekly of his dancing partner, who he wanted to help move past her family’s previous mistakes.
“We did win some folks over,” he continued. “We did get a chance to shed a different light on her and show her in a different spotlight, and then also show that she earned it, that she wasn’t just given it.”
“She earned her stay here and for eight weeks, it’s been a blast,” he gushed. “I got a lot of love for this young lady and I got a lot of love for the universe for bringing us together and giving me a chance to do this season.”
