Amanda Bynes enjoyed a rare outing outside her sober living facility in Los Angeles on Thursday, October 10. The actress stopped by a local nail salon to get a manicure and sat on the sidewalk for a smoke break when she was finished with her appointment. The former Nickelodeon star had a visible injury on her leg that looked like either a bruise or a burn but it's unclear how she sustained the wound.
Amanda, 33, looked casual and cute for her day on the town in grey shorts, a vintage mechanics shirt, and red sunglasses. She tied her hot pink hair up in a loose bun and seemed to be a great mood as she strolled down the street and sipped a fountain drink.
The She's The Man star checked herself into treatment in January 2019 after reportedly suffering a stress-induced relapse following years of sobriety. She was allegedly struggling to deal with the spotlight after giving a tell-all interview to Paper magazine in November 2018.
The troubled starlet detailed her history of drug abuse during the interview and confessed that she abused the attention deficit disorder medication Adderall. "I started smoking marijuana when I was 16. Even though everyone thought I was the 'good girl,' I did smoke marijuana from that point on. I didn't get addicted then and I wasn't abusing it. And I wasn't going out and partying or making a fool of myself... yet," she explained. "Later on it progressed to doing molly and ecstasy. I tried cocaine three times but I never got high from cocaine. I never liked it. It was never my drug of choice. I definitely abused Adderall," she added.

Amanda put her return to acting on hold to focus on her recovery. After completing her treatment program, she moved into a sober living facility to stay on the right track. Despite her personal troubles, she graduated from the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising in June 2019.
A recent report claimed Amanda was “not doing well” living in the sober house. She has been under a conservatorship since 2013 and it was extended until 2020 as of August 2018.
Although she took a break from social media after some embarrassing Twitter posts, Amanda announced she had joined Instagram on Tuesday, September 10.
