Apollo Nida is approaching one year into his lengthy prison sentence for fraud. But though his estranged wife, Phaedra Parks, has yet to officially file for divorce from The Real Housewives of Atlanta star, she still hasn’t taken the former couple’s two young sons, Ayden and Dylan, to visit their new father in prison!
After receiving a little backlash from RHOA fans earlier this year for saying she had no plans to take the her sons to see their dad, Parks explained in April that she was solely focused on her children’s well being! “The one thing I will say is that every single decision I make is based on one thing: the well-being of my two boys,” she said. “It’s easy for people to ask why she did that or why she isn’t doing this, but the simple truth is unless you are in that situation yourself, you really can’t make that judgment.”
And an insider speaking to RadarOnline.com has revealed that Parks is standing firm when it comes to her decision not to take their son’s to the prison in Kentucky to see Nida.
But being blocked from seeing his sons apparently isn’t Nida’s only issue at the facility!

A fan recently blasted Nida for begging her for money after she sent him a book she had written to read. In a reply letter to the woman, which was obtained by The Shade Room, Nida told the woman that he appreciated the book and goes on to ask her to send him some money through Western Union!
She declined to send Nida any money, writing him a letter explaining her decision. “I just wrote him back, thanked him for reading the book & respectfully told him that I have a daughter and b4 I send money to a guy I don’t know I’d rather put that 25 in her savings account,” she told The Shade Room in the post’s caption. But she added that Nida then replied to that letter as well, taking a dig at her reason for not sending him the money!
“He said he didn’t know 25.00 was a lot and he will pray that I gain financial wealth so that I can afford to put more than $25 dollars in my daughters savings. Lol,” she wrote. But the woman took a swipe of her own at Nida, saying that she “may not have a lot of money, but at least I can walk across the street!” What do you think about Phaedra not taking her sons to see their father, Apollo, in prison?
