Phaedra Parks has been open about her decision to not take her and Apollo Nida’s two sons, Ayden and Dylan, to visit their father in prison as he serves his lengthy sentence for fraud. And it appears The Real Housewives of Atlanta is sticking to herword, with recent reports revealing she did not take their sons to visit their dad during his first Father’s Day behind bars.
According to reports, Nida was very upset that he didn’t see his son’s over Father’s Day weekend.
But sources say Nida did receive cards and photos from his sons, updating him on what they’ve been up to during his time behind bars.

In a Bravo blog she wrote in April, Parks revealed her reasons for not wanting her children to see their father in prison.
“Despite the fact that I’m on a reality show, there are some things in my life that are off-limits,” Parks wrote. “People who watch the show only get one slice of the entire Phaedra pie, and it’s unfair to make judgments about someone, or a situation, without having all the information.”
She added, “The one thing I will say is that every single decision I make is based on one thing: the well-being of my two boys. It’s easy for people to ask why she did that or why she isn’t doing this, but the simple truth is unless you are in that situation yourself, you really can’t make that judgment. I do my best to make smart decisions after carefully considering all options and consulting with experts and others who advise me. I know in my heart that everything I do is based on what is best for my children.”
In interviews he’s given since reporting to the Kentucky prison where he’s serving his sentence, Nida has shared his heartbreak over not being able to see his sons. But despite his pleas, Parks doesn’t appear to have any immediate plans to give in to his requests and take the young boys to the prison.
