Though they’ve faced some troubling times over the past year, Apollo Nida has revealed that he is still committed to fixing his relationship with his estranged wife, Phaedra Parks, as he serves his prison sentence!
Speaking to TMZ Live, Nida said that he is currently still married to Parks, but he is also aware that she is considering divorcing him.
He added that the couple’s legal teams have been in touch with each other. However, he said that he eventually wants to speak to his wife one-on-one. “I need closure in my life right now. I need closure. I have a lot of ill feelings. I’m very frustrated and angry,” he said.
Nida continued, “I don’t want to say the wrong thing prematurely. But at the end of the day, I think it’s time for her and I to sit down and figure out if we are going to move forward.”
He admitted that Parks may not want to stay with him. But he stressed that whatever decision they make needs to be made with their two children, Dylan and Ayden, in mind. “It needs to be done in a manner where the children understand or we can come together on a mature level to have some type of understanding and reconciliation,” Nida said.
Parks recently told OKMagazine.com that she still “loves” Nida. During an episode of RHOA, she also revealed to her castmate Kim Fields that she misses Nida’s presence in the life of their sons.
Parks announced her plans divorce Nida back in 2014, though she has yet to file any paperwork to begin the process going. And with Nida saying in his TMZ Live interview that she may also now be considering bringing the couple’s kids to see him in prison, many are continuing to believe that the two may eventually give their marriage another try.
