Ariana Grande spoke recently about how her fiancé Pete Davidson proposed to her in a very low-key sort of way, which didn't involve the societal tradition of getting down on one knee.
The pop singer, who performed an emotional tribute to the late Aretha Franklin earlier this week, spoke about how he proposed on the Zach Sang Show Friday.
Although the two got engaged only weeks after they first met, the "No Tears Left to Cry" singer revealed that she never planned on getting married until she met Pete. "I’m not like a very traditional person so the fact that I’m getting married is something I never even saw coming. I never saw that coming, I never wanted that,” she said on the show.
“I was like, ‘F— that, there’s no point,’ like what’s the point? Then I kind of understood it once I found the right person,” she added.

The Saturday Night Live star proposed to her back in early June in his own special way.
“He didn’t get on a knee, thank God,” she recalled on the Zach Sang Show. “No, that would’ve been so googly.” Even though they rushed their engagement, they aren't exactly working in the same speed when it comes to setting a date for the wedding. "Soon enough" she revealed to Apple's Beats 1 recently.
