Kaitlyn, who is a fellow Canadian, admitted that despite having her own season of The Bachelorette that she was nervous to kiss on camera for the “Drink About Me” video that debuted on September 6.
“Drink About Me” is a song about a couple who has memories about different places they’ve gone that they associate with a drink. “I hope a margarita puts you on the coast with me / A cold Corona takes you down to Mexico / And baby when you take a sip of strong whiskey does it put you to that dive bar?” Brett, 27 croons in the chorus.
“Kaitlyn and Jason number one, are an incredible couple,” the country singer told People in regard to why he chose them for the project. “With this video concept, we needed a couple that has real legitimate chemistry, rather than having two actors meet on set and just hoping that sparks fly.”
Jason commented, “Not only is Brett a friend to us, but he’s such a relevant artist that is doing such great things.” Brett won Country Album Of The Year at Canada’s 2019 Juno Awards. He also won Male Vocalist of the Year at the Canadian Country Music Awards in 2017 and 2018.
“So I get to spend time with Kaitlyn and let our story and romance show through the music video while supporting a friend who is doing awesome things,” Jason added.

In the “Drink About Me” music video Kaitlyn and Jason have a heavy makeout session on top of a pool table and in the water at the Caerula Mar Resort in The Bahamas.
“The awkward part for me was just kissing on camera,” Kaitlyn revealed. “You’d think coming from the world of being on The Bachelor/Bachelorette we would be okay with cameras being around and making out but it was still awkward. I was like, ‘Stop watching us!'”
