Ben Affleck Thanks Jennifer Garner For Working On Their Marriage In Emotional Oscars Speech

And eight years after tying the knot, the Boston native acknowledged that despite being one of the most beloved couples in Hollywood, their union actually takes a lot of work!

Ben got emotional as he thanked Jennifer for working on their marriage through their ups and downs.

"It is work but it's the best kind of work and there is nobody else I would rather do that kind of work with," the actor/director gushed on stage.

Ben also thanked his brood; Violet, Seraphina and Sam.

And although it being one of the most important days of his life, Ben showed what a family man he was by letting Jen stay at home to get ready for the event while he took Violet to a spelling bee competition where she walked away with her own trophy.

His kids have been with him every step of award season as Ben has frequently been seen with their scribbles on his hand for good luck. What a gorgeous family!
