May has been a month of fashion wins for our beloved Queen Bey, with the singer kicking off the month by shutting down the red carpet at the Met Gala 2015 in that now iconic Givenchy gown! But when Beyoncé made an appearance in New York City on Tuesday in a plaid skirt and coordinating T-shirt, much of the Beyhive was feeling the sting of her questionable style moment.
Bey took some major risks pairing her bright, mermaid-style skirt with a maroon tee that paid homage to her home state of Texas.
She accessorized with a red purse and nude sandals. And her hair looked lovely in soft waves and a middle part!
But the overall look left a lot to be desired for even some of Bey’s most loyal followers.

And the addition of a blazer with blue, red and white stripes -- which she showed off on Instagram but luckily ditched by nightfall -- only added to the sartorial confusion.
However, though her latest look may have been deemed a fashion fashion fail, there is always tomorrow for Beyoncé to return to her recent pattern of street style slayage.
