Year In Review: The 10 Most Talked-About Celebrity Weddings Of 2014
The year in pop culture was full of naked moments, pregnancy announcements, and depressing breakups, but celebrity weddings basically dominated our newsfeeds throughout 2014. Here, we look back at the year’s ten most talked-about Hollywood nuptials, which just so happen to also be 2014’s ten most Googled ones. From Kim to Kaley, Jill to Jessica, click through for our recap of the year in weddings.
10. Kaley Cuoco and Ryan Sweeting
Kaley and Ryan rang in 2014 by getting married! The star debuted her pink wedding gown via Instagram on New Year’s Day, saying that her wedding was the “greatest night of my entire life.” Also, Kaley’s much talked-about pixie haircut and huge Big Bang Theory pay raise made this year kind of major for Mrs. Sweeting.
9. Solange Knowles and Alan Ferguson
Beyonce’s little sister Solange became a wifey in November when she married her music video director boyfriend, Alan Ferguson. The pair took the non-traditional approach to their New Orleans wedding, riding in on bicycles and opting for a bridal party dressed in all white. The bride even wore a white jumpsuit down the aisle instead of a traditional gown!
8. Jessica Simpson and Eric Johnson
July fourth weekend was all about Jess and Eric, who finally got married after two kids and a four-year engagement. The California wedding was absolute perfection, from the bride's gold Carolina Herrera gown to the perfectly mismatched bridesmaids dresses. So gorg!
7. Adam Levine and Behati Prinsloo
It’s been five months and still, no photos have emerged of this gorgeous couple on their big day. Bummer! But nonetheless, the Maroon 5 singer and the Victoria’s Secret angel got hitched in Mexico in a wedding that was reportedly officiated by Jonah Hill! Let’s hope that 2015 brings babies for these two.

6. Lauren Conrad and William Tell
Was anyone surprised that Lauren’s September wedding was perfect in every way? Nope. The reality star married her lawyer fiancé in Southern California (obvs), and everything from the dress to the flowers to the bridesmaids dresses that she designed herself have “Pinterest” (and "wedding envy") written all over them.
5. Kandi Burruss and Todd Tucker
The Real Housewives of Atlanta star and the producer, who met while filming, got married in April after a 15-month engagement. The ATL ceremony was on the small side, except let’s not forget that Bravo cameras were there to film it for the show, so…
4. Jill Duggar and Derick Dillard
The first Duggar daughter’s wedding was everywhere back when it happened in June, and even if you don’t watch 19 Kids & Counting, you knew about the wedding. The newlyweds are already expecting their first child, a boy, in March of next year!
3. Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt
Brangelina somehow pulled off the wedding of the year without even telling a soul! The couple of nine years made it official in late August at a private ceremony held at their Chateau in France. The best part of the whole wedding? Angie’s veil was painted with their kids’ drawings. Aw!
2. George Clooney and Amal Alamuddin
Barely a month later, Brad’s bestie George had an international wedding of his own, which involved an entire weekend of festivities in Venice, Italy, where he and Amal first met. They later had a civil ceremony, too! Unlike the Jolie-Pitts, the world knew the Clooney wedding date ahead of time, but that didn’t make us any less excited when it happened.
1. Kim Kardashian and Kanye West
Honestly, did you expect anyone else to top this list? The most Googled female celebrity of the year and her hubby got married on Memorial Day weekend in Florence, Italy, after their rehearsal dinner at Versailles in Paris. And let’s not forget that this photo (above) from the big day was the most liked Instagram photo of the year, too! So many Kimye milestones, so little time.
