The musician looked worse for wear as he moved his belongings out of the home the couple shared. Chad sported a white T-shirt and a hat for the heartbreaking day.

“It is with heavy hearts that Chad and I announce our separation today,” Avril captioned an Instagram post of the once-happy couple. “Through not only the marriage, but the music as well, we've created many unforgettable moments. We are still, and forever will be, the best of friends, and will always care deeply for each other. To all our family, friends and fans, thank you sincerely for the support.”

Sources revealed to RadarOnline that the split was caused by Avril’s “trust issues.” Chad reportedly “cheated on his ex-girlfriend with Avril and left her.”

It’s been a heartbreaking year for the songstress, who opened up in April that she’s been battling Lyme disease.

Days before the announcement, Chad was spotted partying with a mystery woman at a Miami nightclub. “Chad and the woman had a VIP table in the club’s party pit,” a source told People. “They ordered a bottle of Belvedere vodka for themselves. They were very much into each other and did not mingle with the crowd.”
