Chris Harrison Says 'Bachelorette' Finale Will Not Gloss Over Jed Wyatt Girlfriend Drama
It appears that Jed Wyatt is going to attempt to clear the air during the Bachelorette finale. In a recent interview, the show's long-time host Chris Harrison revealed that the contestant, who allegedly had a girlfriend before filming Hannah Brown's season, will be given a "chance to speak" about the drama.
In June, Jed's ex-girlfriend Haley Stevens, claimed that she was dating the Nashville-based musician for four months before he went on the show. The suitor's ex claimed he promised to return after filming was over and told her he never planned on having a serious relationship with Hannah, 24.
About a month later, Jed, 25, who is currently a front runner on the show, broke his silence on July 8 and told his social media followers that while he can't answer any questions "right now," he will as soon as he is "able to." He also asked fans to "reserve judgement.”
“There’s a lot of rumors,” Chris, 47, told People on July 18. “There’s a lot of things being said. I think she has narrowed it down to three good guys. I know how it ended in Greece, but I don’t know how this is going to end up for her.”

“That is why I’m actually really interested in this two-night finale that’s coming up,” he added. “It’s live, and I love going into a show not knowing how it’s really going to turn out."
"I want to hear Jed’s side of the story. I think a lot of people have spoken, and before we judge — which we’re so quick to do on Twitter — I would like to hear from him," Chris continued.
"I would be jumping from the tree tops to speak my truth after being blasted like he has been," the ABC host said. "So I’m going to give him a chance to speak. I want to give him a chance to speak his truth and find out what’s his side of the story.”
The Bachelorette airs on Mondays at 8pm ET on ABC.
