Chrissy Teigen’s parents are separating. According to RadarOnline.com, on Tuesday, November 5, Ron Teigen filed for divorce from Vilailuck “Pepper” Teigen in Los Angeles, California.
The former couple have been married for several decades and it’s unclear what caused the split. In addition to the Sports Illustrated model, 33, the former couple is also parents to another daughter, Tina.
Though Chrissy hasn’t publicly commented on the split, she has previously opened up about her parents’ unconventional living arrangement. “So my mom lives with us. Everybody is like, ‘Where’s your dad?'” she told Us Weekly in January 2018.
She explained that Ron lived 10 minutes away and that he stopped by frequently. “He comes by every day and they’re married,” Chrissy continued. “It just works for them. It’s a good family life. We’re all very close, very tight-knit.”
Evidence of their close bond can be found all over the Bring the Funny star’s social media account. She often documents the time she spends with her mom, her husband John Legend and their kids Luna and Miles.

Vilailuck became a U.S. citizen in 2018, and earlier this year the family enjoyed a luxurious trip to her native Thailand.
In December 2018, Ron decided to mark his bond with his daughter in a permanent way by getting a tattoo of Chrissy's face on his arm. She shared the news on Instagram. “MY DAD GOT A TATTOO OF ME FOR MY BIRTHDAY,” Chrissy wrote under a picture her dad at the tattoo parlor and posing with tattoo artist Mark Mahoney.
One year later, Chrissy followed in her father's footsteps and got a family-inspired tattoo of her very own. The tattoo on her left arm features the birthdates of her parents and John, Miles and Luna. On Instagram, she joked that her ink officially made her a "cool mom."
Chrissy and John also have their own matching family tattoos. Along the inside of their arms in matching cursive font, Chrissy and John have "John – Luna – Miles" and "Chrissy – Luna – Miles" inked, respectively.
