Congrats to Ciara and her husband Russell Wilson! On Thursday, January 30, the 34-year-old singer shared on social media that she and the Seattle Seahawks quarterback are expecting their second child together!
In the photo, Ciara stunned in an orange bathing suit as she soaked up the Turks and Caicos sun. “Number 3,” the Goodies singer wrote with her baby bump on full display. At the moment, Ciara has yet to reveal how far along she is in her pregnancy.
Fans immediately filled the comments section with praise following the exciting news. “Oh my gosh, yes, congrats!” one fan wrote. Another chimed in, “Congratulations, this is so inspiring.” A third typed, “Congratulations, but again, what’s the prayer sis?”
Back in July 2016, Ciara and Russell tied the knot. The following year, the couple welcomed their first child together, daughter Sienna. Russell also serves as a stepfather to Ciara’s son Future Zahir, who she shares with ex-fiancé, Future. During a conversation with Jada Pinkett Smith on the Red Table Talk in June 2019, Ciara gushed about Russell’s fatherly nature.
"He jumped right in," Ciara recalled of Russell’s behavior after they started dating. "He was changing diapers. He was so proud of Future's first steps. When I go to teacher-parent conferences he's at every one of them with me, and I make sure I schedule so he can be there because those details matter to him. It's honestly one of the most sexiest things about him to me. Because the way he loves my son and also the way he loves our kids."
She continued, “The energy with my son it just felt right, and of course, the consistency... Whenever he would think of me he would always think about my son and to love me is to love my son. We come together. It's dope. It's a different level of love."
Back in November 2019, Ciara confessed that she was open to the idea of expanding her family. “If you ask Russell, we’re talking eight babies,” she told Extra. “We’ll just go one day at a time, but I definitely do look forward to having more kids. We got time for that.”
