Jill Duggar loves herself a pair of blue jeans. Despite growing up in a conservative household that required girls to wear only skirts or dresses, the former Counting On star has been wearing jeans ever since her husband Derick Dillard's controversial comments got them kicked off the show. While most fans have praised Jill for throwing away her parents’ rulebook, conservative fans slammed the mom-of-two for wearing jeans in her latest Instagram post.

On Wednesday, Dec. 5, Jill posted a photo of herself taken by her son, Israel, in which she advertised her Instagram partnership with a clothing brand. In the pic, Jill wears jeans, a long-sleeve T-shirt, and brown, lace-up boots.
Fans usually love seeing Jill in jeans, but this time, her conservative followers came out and slammed Jill’s ensemble. “How marriage has changed you and some of your sisters,” one fan wrote. “A Christian woman shouldn’t wear pants at all, read it in the Bible Deuteronomy 22:5.”
“I don’t like the fact that you ladies get married and start wearing pants,” said another. “You ladies make your parents look bad.” Jill's sister Jinger has been known to wear jeans as well and has even started putting her newborn daughter Felicity in them.

Still, most fans were in favor of the jeans. “You look soooo good in pants! It’s not about the clothes you wear. It’s what’s in your heart and how you treat people,” said a fan.
“Yay for pants! Godly women CAN wear them! You look BEAUTIFUL, sista!” gushed another.
Despite the backlash, don’t expect Jill to stop wearing jeans anytime soon. They’ve become her go-to item of clothing, and she often posts pics of herself showing off her curves in a skintight pair!
