Joseph Duggar’s wife Kendra also comes from a big family, so she’s not nervous about having two kids under two years old! The pregnant Counting On star said in a recent interview that she thinks the transition with be a breeze despite admitting on this season that she struggled with mom/life balance. She and Joseph welcomed their first child just nine months after they got married.
Kendra, 21, and Joseph’s son Garrett, 16 months, is going to be a big brother to a baby girl this November. The Counting On star is confident that the adjustment period of having two little ones won’t be too difficult.
“We’re kind of already in that napping, changing diapers groove with Garrett still, so I think it will be just adding another to that,” Kendra told Us Weekly. “We’ll both be busy, I guess. All hands will be tied up taking care of little ones, but there are always challenges. Our son can’t do much himself, so he’s going to need a lot of help, but we’re excited about this new chapter.”
She continued, “I think it’s going be different, but we’ll probably get into the groove of what our family size is. The adjustment part is always an adjustment, so we’ll just see how it goes!”

Joseph has 18 siblings and Kendra has 6 siblings so there are certainly a few helping hands. The 21-year-old has also been babysitting some of the babies in her family to practice ahead of time. Recently, Kendra babysat Joy-Anna’s son Gideon. She also has a double stroller to take Garret and her baby brother Isiah, who is 3 months younger than her child, around on walks.
Kendra recently admitted to struggling while juggling one child. “It’s nice when we go to my parents' house because there’s plenty of people around to entertain him,” she said on the October 29 episode of Counting On.
“It can be exhausting just trying to keep the baby entertained,” Kendra said in a confessional. “And I love doing it, but sometimes you’re like, ‘Oh I’ve got to switch over a load of laundry,’ or ‘I’ve got dishes that need to be done,’ or you’re out and about at a restaurant and you’re like ‘I don’t want my child to be the one that’s screaming and disturbing the peace!’”
