David Foster may be saying “I do” for the fifth time! The famed music producer is reportedly keen on proposing to his much younger girlfriend, Katharine McPhee! Despite their 34-year age gap — David is 67 while Katharine is 33 — a source says he’s “so smitten” with the former American Idol contestant “that he wants to propose.” But his kids aren’t sure their dad is ready for wife number five! “They’ve tried to keep their romance on the down-low, but they’ve gotten very serious and David’s made it clear that he wants to marry Katharine,” an insider told In Touch, adding that Katharine calls David “her silver fox.”
However, only David’s daughter Erin Foster is on board with the idea so far! “David’s daughter Erin really likes Katharine, but his other four daughters don’t think he should jump into another marriage,” the source explained.
David was last married to Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Yolanda Hadid. Katharine filed for divorce from her 52-year-old ex Nick Cokas in May 2014, seven months after she was photographed kissing her married Smash director Michael Morris.

Although David and Katharine have yet to comment on their relationship, they haven’t bothered to hide from the cameras. On October 21, the two were photographed getting cozy with each other at the David Foster Foundation 30th Anniversary Gala & Concert.
“They’re really into each other,” the insider told IT. “They have a very special connection, and if David asked Katharine to marry him today, I think she’d definitely say yes.”
