Duane “Dog” Chapman revealed he asked his rumored fiancée Moon Angell to remove his late wife Beth’s clothes from her closet and replace them with hers. The bounty hunter discussed the decision on The Dr. Oz Show just weeks after his daughter Lyssa slammed Moon for the action.
“When I got into the house, he would walk by the closet and bawl, and walk by the closet and bawl, and shut the door and then open the door. And then he would go in, I think this is pretty intimate, but he would smell Beth and he would go in there and sit down and cry and cry and cry,” Moon said in a preview clip for the February 3 episode.
Moon added that Duane, 66, asked her to “take Beth’s things out of the closet.” She stressed, “It wasn’t a negative thing. It was because he just couldn’t do it anymore.” Duane broke down into tears and said, “Once she did it, I was like relieved.”
He continued, “And then I walked by and it was empty, and I’m like, ‘Oh, God.’ I said, ‘Moon, put some of your stuff in there.’ She said, ‘No.’ I said, ‘Moon, it’s an order.'”
Duane’s revelation comes just weeks after his daughter Lyssa, 32, who disapproves of his new relationship, took to Twitter and slammed Moon. “If someone who met your family by dating your brother, tried to date your father after your stepmom died what would you do? If you went to your mother's closet and saw she moved all her clothes and replaced them with her own, what would you do?” Lyssa wrote in a since-deleted tweet.

The Dr. Oz preview was posted on social just a day after Lyssa was arrested in Hawaii for harassment and resisting arrest. She was released the same day. It’s unknown if the incident had anything to do with Moon.
Moon was Beth’s former assistant and she was a maid of honor in Beth’s wedding to Duane. Moon and Duane started a relationship after Beth passed away from cancer in June 2019.
In another preview for Dr. Oz, the bounty hunter asked his partner, “Moon Angell, will you marry me?”
