Sailor Brinkley-Cook took her mom Christie’s place last minute after she was injured during rehearsal! On September 22 Sailor opened up about her insecurities regarding her appearance in a candid post on Instagram. The 21-year-old model admitted she never felt “pretty enough” growing up and is anxious to do the Rumba on the September 23rd show.

Sailor was all smiles as she stepped out of rehearsal on Sunday. The 21-year-old model showed off her tone figure in a wrap shirt and leggings.

“Hi! This is going to be a long caption but it’s something I want to say before tomorrow’s show,” Sailor captioned photos on Instagram from rehearsals with Valentin Chmerkovskiy. “I grew up very insecure. Never feeling thin enough or tall enough or pretty enough or just downright good enough.”

She continued, “I spent a lot of time fighting against who I naturally was.”

“As I grew up and went through some major ups and downs I began a journey of accepting myself for who I am, quirks and all,” Sailor said. “It takes a massive amount of work every day and I know a lot of people can relate. But every day I feel closer to loving and respecting myself just as much as I would love and respect someone close to me.”

The model told fans, “This week on @dancingabc I dance the RUMBA! A steamy, sexy dance that in order to execute you’ve gotta show some major confidence.”

She continued, “Being on this show (and I know it's only been a week) has opened me up in so many ways. I feel brave and I feel strong and more capable than ever before. Because I’m doing something I’m terrified of and I’m not letting any bad feeling no matter how strong stop me.”

“Tomorrow's dance is for that little girl inside of me who never in a million gazillion years thought she could ever dance the rumba in front of anyone let alone on live TV,” Sailor wrote. “And tomorrows dance is also for anyone out there who has put any limits on who or what they think they can be.”

She encouraged fans and ended the post, “You are capable of ANYTHING I promise. All it takes is getting up and trying. Take what you’re afraid of and conquer it. Show that fear who’s the boss. You!! Thank you guys for showing so much love during all this craziness. And remember to tune in tomorrow.”
