According to multiple reports, the pair, who have been dating for three years, broke it off recently. However, one report says they are amicable and taking a break because of busy schedules while another claims the cute couple have been fighting.
People reported the happier of the two versions, saying the couple is “just separated for work,” since Garfield, 31, is currently filming Martin Scorsese's new film, Silence, in Taiwan while 26-year-old Emma is in Los Angeles.
“They are both busy with their careers and have not seen each other,” a source told People. "But it's too early to say the relationship is over.”
Another source told People that “they're taking a break from seeing each other” because “they're both a slave to their schedules” though “this time last year they were privately discussing marriage."

However, Us Weekly wrote the split was because Emma and Andrew “had been fighting a lot and… weren’t getting along."

“He’s very in his character,” the source told Us of Garfield’s role in the Scorsese film. “He's lost weight, and he's in a dark place mentally for his performance and he's not boyfriend material right now."
