A source exclusively revealed to OKMagazine.com that Mendes and Gosling’s military-style rules for family and friends to keep their daughter out of the spotlight is starting to become “ridiculous.”
“At her first birthday party, no one was allowed to bring in a camera and all photos of Esme were banned,” the insider told OKMagazine.com. “They had a professional photographer there and that was it.”
The actress has even become a “maniac” regarding hygiene, as all family and friends must “wash their hands before they can play with Esme.”

Visitors may want to think twice before walking into the couple’s home with shoes on, as everyone must take them off at the door! “She wants to minimize any outside germs being walked into the house,” the source dished.
Although Mendes and Ryan are “both very good parents,” the actress is a “helicopter mom.” The insider added, “She’s always hovering over Esme and never lets her out of her sight.”
