The Truth About Farrah Abraham's Rumored Return to Teen Mom

It was to noones surprised when MTV announced that the reboot of Teen Mom would be happening…but without Farrah Abraham. But, despite her questionable business ventures, could Farrah be returning to the show after all?!

The Ashley reports that the rumors of Farrah’s return could be true! Apparently, Farrah has been in touch with the show’s producers and is asking for them to take her back. She insists that she’ll change her ways and reform her sexy image if it means being back on the show.

The only confusing thing, however, is how exactly will this work? Catelynn Lowell, Amber Portwood and Maci Bookout have already been filming for months, so starting to film with Farrah now would mess everything up.

Because of this, some sources are saying that Farrah and her daughter, Sophia, will return for the sixth season of the show, which hasn’t been confirmed nor denied by MTV. The fifth season premieres in early 2015, so it’s clearly a bit too late for Farrah to play catch up.

Maci addressed the elephant in the room during the Ask the Moms special, saying that Farrah wouldn’t be on the show because her recent choices weren’t in line with what the show stands for. However, Maci clarified that it was the network’s decision not to have her back, not the girls’. We guess MTV is pretty easily convinced!

Farrah hasn’t directly addressed the rumors of her return, though fans are pretty confident that her recent tweet saying, “Oh the silly things you can read in magazines,” is her way of squashing them, but we’ll have to wait and see!

The truth is that even if Farrah does stop with the sex stuff, as she promised producers she’d do, she’d still have a pretty interesting storyline to watch on Teen Mom. As loyal fans know, Farrah’s had a tumultuous relationship with her mom, Debra, since we first met her on 16 & Pregnant, and it only got more complicated when Debra and Farrah’s dad, Michael, got divorced. Also, Farrah really opened up about her relationships on season 4 of Vh1’s Couples Therapy, and we’d love to learn more about her dating life.

If the rumors of Farrah’s return are true, this means that Teen Mom 2 would instead be the show with only three cast members! Leah Calvert has confirmed that she will not be a part of season 6—most likely due to her personal issues with her husband, Jeremy, and her custody battle with Corey—but it’s likely that Chelsea Houska, Jenelle Evans and Kailyn Lowry will go on without her.
