Even Hailey Baldwin has insecurities. While sitting down with Vogue Australia, the star got candid about working in the modeling industry and revealed the she once felt "inferior" to her best friends Kendall Jenner, Gigi and Bella Hadid.

While many may think that working with your best friends would be fun, Hailey, 22, recently revealed that it's not always easy.

“My burn in the modeling industry has been slow and I’ve had to learn to be okay with that,” she told the publication. “I’m shorter than most of the girls. Even though I’m five-foot-eight, I’m not a runway girl."

"I totally used to feel inferior to some of my friends. Look at Kendall and Bells and Gigi…they’re all tall and doing every runway," she said of Kendall, 23, Gigi, 24, and Bella, 22, who she has been friends with since childhood.

Despite being on the cover of Vogue many times over the years, the 22-year-old revealed she had people in the modeling industry tell her that she wouldn't make it in the business. “For a while, there was a part of me that didn’t know if I could have the career I wanted if I couldn’t do runway,” Hailey explained. “I had so many people, like casting directors, say ‘we don’t think she’s a real model.’”

Since she started modeling in 2014, Hailey has walked on runways for Elie Saab, Moschino, Dolce & Gabbana, Jeremy Scott, Off-White, Tommy Hilfiger, Julien Macdonald, Zadig & Voltaire, and more over the years. She's also done a ton of editorial work for companies like Adidas, Guess, Levis and more.

"I don’t look short in photos. I’m proud of myself for building a more commercial career that worked for me and being confident about it,” she said. “I’ve hosted a show, I did major American campaigns, and a bunch of other things that I’ve really enjoyed. Sometimes I feel like I’m still finding my lane, but now I know I’m going in the right direction.”

Meanwhile, Kendall skipped out on this year's New York Fashion Week but got back to work at London's Fashion Week on Monday, September 16. She walked for Burberry as she showed off her new blonde locks. Gigi and Bella also walked in the show.

Just a couple weeks before Hailey's October Issue of Vogue Australia was released on September 15, the star and her husband Justin Bieber are set to get married in front of their closest friends and family during a religious ceremony on September 30. The couple celebrated their one-year wedding anniversary on September 13.
