It hasn’t been the most delicious part of The Late Late Show, but “Spill Your Guts or Fill Your Guts,” where James’ guests must confess a scandalous fact about themselves or eat some gross food (including cow tongue), has been super fun to watch. Even Kim Kardashian and Steven Tyler have done it!

But sadly, it may be on the chopping block since James just told Radio Times that he’s given up meat after reading an article about the terrible welfare of elephants.

“At Christmas, I read a story about the mistreatment of elephants and realized I was upset about animal welfare while eating a bacon sandwich,” he confessed.

The 39-year-old’s imagination started to take off and he thought about other things he ingested. “I thought, ‘Well, you really can't be upset about elephants and not think about the pigs.’ I hope I can keep it up. I will certainly try.”
