Ronnie, 33, and Jen, 31, have called it quits countless times but they continue to try and make their relationship work for the sake of their daughter Ariana Sky, 17 months. "You know, we’re still not perfect, but we’re still working on our relationship every day. I really think it is about being the best parents that we can be to Ariana and that we’re doing a great job so far," the reality star told Us Weekly in September.
The couple has been dating on and off since 2017 and they welcomed their daughter in April 2018. The pair got into a nasty New Year's Eve fight and Ronnie filed a police report against Jen. She was arrested for domestic battery in Las Vegas on May 16 but the charges against her were dropped when Ronnie allegedly refused to cooperate with the prosecution on the case.
Ronnie's friends and family have had no shortage of opinions about his love life. On an episode of Jersey Shore: Family Vacation in August, Paul "Pauly D" DelVecchio claimed that Ronnie was "addicted" to his "toxic relationship."

"I don’t know exactly what’s going on with Ron right now, I just know it has to do with Jen because his head is buried in his phone and I can see that he’s texting Jen. There’s no hope for us giving him advice anymore. We gave him so much advice, I can’t even give it anymore. I will not do it. You can’t help somebody that doesn’t want to accept the help," Pauly said.
Ronnie sought help for depression and alcohol abuse in January 2019 and completed a month of treatment before checking out in February. He addressed why he ultimately decided to go to rehab on Jersey Shore.
"I feel like the last year has just stripped me down, layer by layer, like an onion, and I’ve got nothing left at this point. I need to figure out why I’m so unhappy, I need to figure out how to get myself to a better place, I need to figure out how to be a better father, a better person, a better friend. Obviously I love Jen, but I need to remove myself from a toxic situation and work on myself. I can’t rely on other people, I can’t rely on alcohol, I can’t rely on other things to make me happy. I just want to be a better role model for my daughter. I want my daughter to look at me and be proud of me, but I need help," he said at the time.
