On Monday, Nov. 19, Jill shared the recipe on her blog, DillardFamily.com, as well as on Instagram. Fans found Jill’s photo of the creation less than appetizing.
“Another recipe that looks like complete slop,” one fan slammed. Another follower brutally commented, “Have you ever fixed a meal that doesn’t look like cat vomit?”
Other fans slammed Jill for using canned mushrooms over fresh mushrooms in her recipe. “Jill you have got to stop using canned goods. Fresh mushrooms like baby Bella’s would be so much better for you. And taste. Try it next time,” suggested a follower.

Some defended Jill’s recipe, blaming her love for canned goods on her need to save money. “It's very easy to understand why she uses canned stuff. Her husband does not work therefore she can't afford fresh foods. It's too expensive,” explained a follower. As Duggar fans know, Jill’s husband Derick Dillard is currently in law school, while she is a stay at home mom.
Another fan theorized that because Jill grew up eating lots of large, casserole-style dishes made using afforable canned foods, she doesn’t know any differently — and it might be time to branch out. “Maybe she should ask her mother in law for recipes. They might be better,” the fan advised.
When Jill recently posted a recipe for “Easy Slow Cooker Creamy Chicken & Tortillas,” fans told her it was time to “just give up” on her food blogger dreams.
