John Stamos Shares Video Of Son Billy ‘For Those Who Need A Good Smile’ After Lori Loughlin’s ‘Fuller House’ Firing

John Stamos and Lori Loughlin have played an onscreen couple on Full House and its spinoff Fuller House for decades, but they’re about to face their worst off-screen challenge yet. After Lori was accused of paying $500,000 to bribe her daughters’ way into USC, her longtime costar posted a video of his son Billy on Instagram, which seemingly addressed the scandal — and Lori’s firing from the show.
John, 55, posted a video on March 14 of his son laughing. He captioned the clip, “For those of us who just need a good smile right now.”
His co-star Candace Cameron Bure commented, “I definitely needed this right now.”
Candace, 42, similarly took to Instagram the same day and shared that she was “seeking” the Lord amid Lori’s firing. Unlike John, she turned her comments section off, presumably to avoid trolls.

On March 14, sources told TV Line that Netflix has no plans to bring Lori, 54, back to Fuller House for the final season airing in the fall. The Hallmark Channel also cut ties with the actress. “We are saddened by the recent news surrounding the college admissions allegations," the network wrote in a statement. “We are no longer working with Lori Loughlin and have stopped development of all productions that air on the Crown Media Family Network channels involving Lori Loughlin.”
Lori was taken into custody on March 13 after she and her husband Mossimo Giannulli allegedly “agreed to pay bribes totaling $500,000” in order to get their daughters Olivia Jade and Isabella Rose into the University of Southern California.
Ironically, John scolded Olivia, 19, on Twitter on February 6, after she said she would “rather be filming 24/7 than sitting in 6 hours of classes straight.” The Fuller House star told her, “Go to school! Don’t be a bum like me and your mom!”
