Katy Perry Attends Taylor Swift’s Rival Scooter Braun’s Charity Event For Kamala Harris
July 22 2019, Updated 7:44 p.m. ET
Scooter Braun threw a charity event in support of Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris on July 20. While guests like Ariana Grande and Demi Lovato seemed normal, fans didn’t seem too happy that Katy Perry was in attendance. In May 2019, the “Firework” singer mended things with the Taylor, who is currently feuding with Scooter.
Scooter, 38, manages both Ariana, 26, and Demi, 26. He shared a picture with the two stars at the fundraiser. “Fam,” he captioned the photo.
He also shared a slideshow of Kamala, 54, speaking at his backyard gathering.
Scooter didn’t post any photos of Katy, 34, but Kamala’s husband Douglas Emhoff did! “Sooooo, this happened,” he captioned a picture of Kamala, Demi, Ariana and Katy.

Katy didn’t pose with Scooter, but Taylor’s fans still seemed upset. As fans know, Katy gifted Taylor an olive branch in May and they squashed their beef. Months later, Taylor wrote a long post of Tumblr after Scooter bought her former label, Big Machine Records. She claimed that the talent manager had bullied her for years and now was in possession of her master recordings.
“Oh, and Katy Perry, say goodbye to your reconciliation campaign with Taylor Swift. Not a good look for either Kamala Harris or Perry for that matter,” one fan tweeted.
"Did Katy Perry really f**king go to Scooter Braun’s house?" another fan questioned. "After Taylor has openly said she cries whenever she hears his name, imagine having a close friend go to someone threatening your life and career. Swifties trusted you @katyperry but then again it was probably for the fame."
