Kim Kardashian Defends Kanye West After Private Boeing 747 Backlash

Kim Kardashian and Kanye West took a quick trip to Toyko, Japan, last month. Rather than take a traditional airplane, the couple opted to get a private Boeing 747 to take them overseas. Kim and Kanye received a lot of backlash due to the fuel emission and cost of the plane, but Kim is standing by their decision!
Kim gave everyone a tour of the 747 when she boarded. “Private 747 Flight NO BIG DEAL,” she wrote on her Instagram story. “This is how he does it now, only 747s, Private – I’ve never even heard of this but whatever,” she continued.
Fans quickly took to Twitter to slam the decision. “Cannot believe Kim and Kanye are on a 747 plane BY THEMSELVES. A double decker plane that usually takes up to 660 passengers!?! They clearly don't give 2 s***s about global warming,” one person wrote.
Another Twitter user said, “Kim and Kanye renting an entire 747 for themselves is so unbelievably wasteful it makes me sick. Leaving a much larger carbon footprint than they need to. You have the power and wealth to travel sustainably, and instead you do the opposite. For what? An Instagram flex?”

Kim doesn’t regret the experience. She told Extra, “It was the nicest plane I've ever been on.”
The Keeping Up With The Kardashians star continued to defend Kanye. “He's really into architecture. So we flew to this island off of Japan to see this museum,” she explained. She also added that the plane ride wasn’t entirely private. “Kanye wanted to take his whole design crew and stuff to have his whole team get inspiration,” she said.
