Kim Kardashian and her former assistant Stephanie Shepherd may be frenemies these days, based off a cryptic post Stephanie shared on Instagram! Earlier this month, she and Kim went their separate ways after working together since 2013. And a source told People the two “aren’t really speaking.”
It appears Stephanie isn’t taking too kindly to allegedly being fired, and shared a message on social media that seemed to be aimed at the reality star. “Self care isn’t always lush bath bombs & $20 face masks. Sometimes, it’s going to bed @ 8pm or letting go of a bad friend,” she wrote. “It’s forgiving yourself for not meeting your impossible standards & understanding you are worth it. Self care isn’t always luxury but a mean for survival.”
Fans were shocked when Kim, 37, decided to cut ties with Stephanie, who was often seen on the family’s reality show, Keeping Up With the Kardashians, as well as on trips with the crew.
But a source told People that Stephanie just wasn’t the right fit anymore.

“She was a good assistant but when Stephanie wanted to transition into a larger role with Kim’s brand and businesses, it just didn’t work. Kim gave her the chance but after a short period of time it became clear that Stephanie just didn’t have the knowledge to take on a role like that. Kim made an executive decision to part ways," the insider said.
Stephanie had recently been promoted to COO of Kardashian West Brand, managing projects outside of KUWTK including Kimoji and Kim’s collaboration with Kylie Cosmetics.
