Kim Kardashian may have a career in politics yet! After meeting with President Donald Trump on Wednesday to discuss prison reform, the mom of three says she’s “very hopeful” she made progress with the leader of the free world.
“I think that he really spent the time to listen to our case that we were making for Alice Johnson,” Kim told Mic exclusively, referring to the 63-year-old grandmother who has spent 21 years in prison for a first-time drug-trafficking charge. Kim is hoping the president will grant clemency to Alice.
“He really understood, and I am very hopeful that this will turn out really positively,” Kim shared after meeting with Donald, his son-in-law Jared Kushner, and her lawyer Shawn Chapman Holley.
“I went in, me and Shawn, to really talk to the president about Alice Johnson and really explain to him why she would be such a good person to grant clemency to,” Kim explained.

“The president seems to have a passion for what everything that Jared has been trying to do, and that just makes me happy that that conversation is just moving forward,” Kim told the site, adding that she believes Alice has “completely rehabilitated herself and will continue to do so out of prison.”
Although Kim voiced her support for Hillary Clinton ahead of the 2016 election, her husband Kanye West has been vocal about his love for Donald. In April, he tweeted Trump was his “brother” and tweeted a photo of a “Make America Great Again” hat signed by Donald.
