Kathie made the tearful announcement earlier this week that she’ll be leaving Today in April of next year.
Now the focus has shifted to who will replace her and sit next to Hoda Kotb during the 4th hour of the long-running morning show.
PEOPLE created a list of potential replacements, one of which included the RHOBH original.

The mag mentioned that Hoda herself once even suggested Kyle as a replacement for Kathie during an appearance on Watch What Happens Live.
Would Kyle actually do it, though? It would be an incredible change for her and her family, since they reside in Beverly Hills while Today is shot in the Big Apple.
Other names that PEOPLE suggested included another Real Housewife, Bethenny Frankel, as well as WWE pro wrestler John Cena and Today correspondent Jenna Bush Hager.
