Vanderpump Rules star Lala Kent and her fiancé Randall Emmett are ready to move past the drama with his ex-wife Ambyr Childers. The couple dished how they coparent the You star and the film producer's two daughters London and Rylee on Teddi Mellencamp's podcast, Teddi Tea Pod.
Ambyr, 31, and Emmett, 48, were married from 2009 until their split in 2017. Shortly after their separation, Emmett and Lala, 29, began a relationship.
“We did not have a very smooth start and you know we did everything we could to make sure that the babies did not know that,” Lala said of the beginning of her relationship with the actress. “And now we’re all in such a good place, myself, their mom, we’re, it’s just the happiest time in the entire world. It was like a Christmas miracle. It truly was. It’s a breeze now. The kids are happy and that’s all you want.”
Back in August 2019, Ambyr blasted the Bravo star for posting photos on social media of her kids. However, the women have since repaired their fractured relationship when they celebrated the holidays as a family in December 2019. The Irishman producer added on the podcast, “Co-parenting obviously is the most important thing when you have children and they’re a product of divorce."
“But I’ll tell you this, the best thing that ever happened to children of a divorced home is that everybody works together and Lala Kent, God bless her soul has taken on that role of stepmother with a vigor and with passion and with love," Randall gushed over his longtime love.
Randall proposed to Lala in September 2018 and the couple plans to tie the knot this upcoming April.
The Salt Lake City native also revealed she and the jewelry designer have a better relationship now and they talk frequently how to coparent London and Rylee. “Ambyr and I were not in a good place and when we had the meeting before Christmas,” Lala said. “There were tears that were shed, there were apologies … I just basically thanked her because those girls that she brought into the world, my life is forever changed, forever better for them.”
