Abby Lee Miller is lucky everyone is replaceable because her star dancer Maddie Ziegler has moved on to the big screen! The Dance Moms star was spotted filming The Book of Henry on October 7.
Maddie traded in her leotard and dance shoes for a purple sweater, skinny jeans and vans to take on the role.
On Dance Moms, Maddie is known for telling a story while dancing through her onstage expressions – and it looks like it’s coming in handy for her big screen debut!

The 13-year-old is starring alongside actress Naomi Watts for the film, which follows a single mother raising two sons. Other co-stars include Dean Norris, Sarah Silverman and more famous faces!
But don’t worry, DM fans, Maddie isn’t leaving the show to become an actress just yet. The dancer-turned-actress wrapped up the sixth season of Dance Moms, which is set to premiere in January.
