Abby Lee Miller is going to have to find a new star to be on the top of the pyramid! Fan-favorite Maddie Ziegler is leaving the show after six seasons.

The 13-year-old will not return for season seven because she wants to focus on her acting career. “Acting is something she’s really excited to pursue and Maddie is in high demand,” the insider told Us Weekly.

The dancer is currently filming the drama The Book of Henry alongside Naomi Watts, Lee Pace and Sarah Silverman. She’s also starring in Sia Furler’s film Sister.

Maddie showed off her acting skills when she appeared in Sia’s music videos “Chandelier,” “Elastic Heart” and “Big Girls Cry.”

What does Maddie’s departure mean for Lifetime’s hit show? Considering Abby may be headed to prison, it isn’t looking good! The 49-year-old was indicted on 20 counts of bankruptcy fraud in October. The dance teacher pled not guilty to the charges and paid a $10,000 bond during a federal court hearing. If she is convicted of the charges, she could face up to five years in prison.
