Margot Robbie’s support for Tonya Harding has gone beyond the film I, Tonya, as the 27-year-old actress admitted that she will definitely be supporting the former figure skater on ABC’s Dancing with the Stars!
The entire cast of Dancing with the Stars season 26 was revealed on April 13, and this time around it's all athletes! Tonya joined several other legendary sports players, including NBA star Kareem Abdul Jabbar and Olympic gold medalist in softball Jennie Finch.
Tonya remains one of six left to win the mirrorball trophy in the end, and she received a surprise visitor during one of the tapings recently: Allison Janney, who played her mother in the Oscar-winning film!
Margot was unaware that the season had already began, but she has her support regardless. “I didn’t know it was actually on TV yet. But she told me she was going to be on it, so I’ll have to watch it now!” she told Entertainment Tonight.
So will Margot follow in Allison’s footsteps and actually attend an upcoming taping?
“I just got back yesterday, and she texted me. She was like, ‘You gotta come watch!’ I was like, ‘For sure!’” she dished. So will Margot be jumping up and down in excitement for the woman that helped score the in-demand actress her first Oscar nomination?
