Saturday, August 4 was Meghan’s 37th birthday, the first since she’s been married to Prince Harry, so naturally she was feeling good and letting loose a little.
But no one expected her to give people a peek of her underwear, which slipped out when the button came loose on her blouse for a split moment while she was at the wedding of Harry’s friend Charlie van Straubenzee and Daisy Jenks.
People immediately took to Twitter to offer their two cents about the spectacle: “Meghan at a wedding: black dress, waving at the cameras, with her bra showing. I thought Meghan was supposed to be smart??” wrote one user.
Meanwhile, another posted, “WHO wears black to a wedding with her top buttons undone showing a racy bra? Narcissist attention seeking #MeghanMarkle she just can't stop herself can she?”
While people on Twitter had lots to say, Beaumont Etiquette founder Myka Meier rushed to the Duchess’ defense, telling People, “Meghan did not break royal protocol when her bra showed, as accidents or wardrobe malfunctions are not considered going against dress code rules. Her bra showing was not believed to be deliberate, in which case she would have not been seen to be disrespectful by the palace.”
