They say imitation is the highest form of flattery, so is Nicki Minaj’s biggest fan Kim Kardashian? One might say so after seeing the latter’s Met Gala after party dress on Monday night! The black leather number was strikingly similar to the dress Nicki wore to the Met Gala in 2016.
Kim wore this sleek, skintight gold dress to the gala. The theme this year was "Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination." Kim's husband Kanye West approved, and he tweeted out over a dozen fire emojis in response to his wife’s gown.
Kim tweeted back, revealing that she had to attend the event solo because Kanye was “only finishing up 5 albums.”
After the Met Gala ended, Kim returned to her hotel, but the night wasn’t over yet! She then stepped out once again in this black leather dress.

The dress looked just like the one Nicki wore to the Met Gala in 2016, when the theme was “Manus x Machina: Fashion In An Age of Technology.”
Aside from Nicki’s sheer skirt, gloves, and silver buckles, the dresses were practically identical.
