Kim Kardashian showed up to the 2018 Met Gala solo, which raised a lot of questions about where her husband Kanye West was — especially because the rapper has been going on a string of Twitter rants recently. The KKW founder has finally set the record straight as to why Kanye was absent from the Met Gala this year.

Could he be upset about his poor single sales?!

“Love you babe wish you were here with meeeeee but you’re only finishing up 5 albums,” Kim, 37, tweeted at Kanye, 40. She added the laughing, fire, and heart emojis.

The "Famous" rapper had tweeted a photo of Kim, who wore a sparkly gold gown with two crosses on it to the Met Gala, with a ton of fire emojis.

I guess Kanye had a pretty good excuse not to show up!

But Kim still looked stunning as she walked the red carpet alone this year. The theme was “Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination.”

It makes sense that Kanye couldn't make it. He announced last month that he's releasing two upcoming albums. One is a collaboration with Kid Cudi. This announcement came after he had an outburst in the studio, fired his longtime manager Scooter Braun, and went on several Twitter rants.
